Examines Spanish American lit from a wide variety of perspectives: geographical regions (e.g. Caribean, Andean, Greater Mexico) theme (e.g. Revolution, Borders), period (e.g. Colonial, 19th Century) or genre (e.g. Poetry, theatre, film nonfiction). Prerequisites: SPAN 3050 or equivalent. SPAN 3120 highly recommended.
