Emphasizes speaking and listening comprehension through structured and monitored individual, pair, small group and class work, while providing socio-cultural competence, vocabulary acquisition and grammar review. Provides enhanced language skills in a manner that otherwise could only be attained through an extended stay in a Hispanic country. Prerequisites: SPAN 2040; limited to Spanish majors/minors with no previous experience abroad.
