Fall 2020 FYS: New Geography of Jobs (ACES-1101-01)

This course will provide students with a view of theevolving world of work in the United States, withspecific attention to Innovation, Manufacturing, NaturalResource Extraction, and Agriculture. The course willsurvey the history of jobs in the U.S. with specificattention to changes through time, location and events.We will also look ahead to the age of automation.Students will participate in a significant researchproject, through which they will create a case studyof a specific economic ecosystem.
