Examines basis for and characteristics of communication problems created by hearing loss and management procedures to facilitate communication and adjustment to hearing loss. Includes acoustic and visual properties of speech, amplification devices and hearing loss in school children. Prerequisites: SPPA 4340 or consent of instructor.
