Deals with professional writing for various audiences. Includes research methods, audience analysis, organization and developmental techniques, abstracting, types of reports and popularization. Part of the last half of the course is devoted to solution of a student-initiated problem, culminating in the writing of a long-form report. Prerequisite: WA and WB/COM1 and COM2; junior standing.
