This course introduces the concepts and skills of basic nursing care and nurse/patient safety. The course allows students to gain confidence and competency in the performance of basic clinical skills. Prerequisite: Progression or admission to the clinical component of the program and completion or concurrent enrollment with NURS 2340, NURS 3490, PHCY 3450 or PHCY 4450.

All students will attend the Monday 10-10:50am class meeting time. Students will rotate in 1-2 hour time blocks within the Monday 12-4pm class meeting time for skills practice/checkoffs.
