This course will focus on clarifying your writing and sharpening your editorial skills. You will be encouraged to document personal experience, and to expand the scope and parameters of first-person writing. We also will examine autobiographical performances by contemporary artists, filmmakers, and poets, and I will ask you to respond to these works. Assignments will include formal creative papers and short response papers, and informal feedback and discussions. Much of our course time (all conducted onlne) will be devoted to small-group writing workshops of your rough drafts, and full-class discussions of your final drafts. Prerequisite: COM 1.
