  • Fall 2019 - Environmental Law (LAW-6660-01)

    Provides an overview of the broad field of environmental law, with an emphasis on the major federal environmental statutes such as the National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts, and statutes regulating both hazardous wastes and toxic chemicals in commerce. In considering these various statutes, we will consider both their substantive requirements and their conceptual approaches to environmental protection. The course will also touch briefly on issues such as the role of states in implementing these national laws, various approaches to enforcement of these laws, common-law doctrines relevant to environmental protection, and economic aspects of environmental law. 8/26/2019 - 11/26/2019, Lecture

  • Fall 2019 - Fund of Acct in the Energy Ind (MBAX-5503-40)

    Introduction to basic financial accounting and reporting issues related to energy producing activities. Investigate current accounting practices of energy producing companies related to exploration, acquisition, development, and delivery of energy products. Cover financial requirements of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).   • Fall 2019 - Writers Workshop: Multi-Genre (CW-4050-01)

    Students submit manuscripts in the short story, poetry, drama, etc. Includes class and conference criticism and consultation. Considers different types of creative writing in various semesters, as announced in class schedule.
