  • Spring 2021 Contem Masc, Gender, Culture (ENGL-2020-04)

    Masculinity and manhood are valued and integral to American culture and the American identity – but what exactly is masculinity? How does America understand masculinity? And, how does womanhood and manhood relate to masculinity and performances of masculinity? This discussion-based class will examine these questions by utilizing contemporary films, graphic novels, music, and books, in order to answer, examine, critique, and investigate how masculinity is portrayed and understood within America culture. This course fulfills your O (Oral Communication Requirement) and COM2 requirements.

  • Spring 2021 Intro Qual Research (EDRE-5640-40)

    This course introduces qualitative research. Students will explore the foundations, social science theories, methods, and processes of qualitative research and will learn to critically evaluate published research. Emphases will include basic design principles, trustworthiness, and analysis. Students will engage in original data collection and will produce a mini report. Prerequisite: EDRE 5530.

  • Spring 2021 Discussion (PHYS-1120-22)

    Follows PHYS 1110 and completes introduction to physics without calculus. Includes electricity, magnetism, optics and modern physics. Laboratory sessions illustrate principles studied. Students receiving credit in PHYS 1120 cannot receive credit in PHYS 1050, 1220 or 1320. Prerequisite: PHYS 1110.

  • Spring 2021 History of Graphic Design (ART-2030-40)

    History of graphic language and evolution of graphic communication. Includes an extensive examination of the social forces that shaped the design profession and how in turn design has shaped society. The theories that moved designers to act to remake society are also considered.

  • Spring 2021 Laboratory- Section 01 (PHYS-1210-12)

    First course of a two-semester sequence. Provides introduction to physics with calculus for engineering students. Includes classical mechanics, gravitation and mechanical waves. Laboratory sessions illustrate principles studied. Students receiving credit for PHYS 1210 cannot receive credit for PHYS 1050, 1110, or 1310. Prerequisites: a grade of C or higher in MATH 2200 and concurrent enrollment in MATH 2205.
