    Decision Making in Business is a 3-hour course thatsatisfies the First-Year Seminar (FYS) requirement of theUSP. As such, it will examine decision making business andthe process of critical thinking and ethical reasoning. Inaddition, Decision Making in Business will help you developthe skills and habits of mind to be successful in college.

  • Spring 2021 Personal Health (HLED-1006-44)

    Introduces multiple concepts of personal health (e.g., physical activity, diet, stress, social pressure, public health, human behavior, disease prevention, health care access, and health-oriented citizenship) in relation to improving individual health and understanding the health of a society and cultural differences in human health and health behavior.

    Conference course to allow graduate students opportunity for both guided and independent research. Prerequisite: graduate standing and consent of instructor.

  • Spring 2021 FYS: Hoax, Myth & Charlatans (ANTH-1101-01)

    This course examines the use and misuse of the past bycharlatans, fanatics, and politicians. We examine thescientific method in archaeology and then devle into the useof pseudoscience and pseudoarchaeology. Important themesexplored include extraterrestrial contact in the past, thearchaeology of giants and other hoaxes, the mysteries of theearly Americas, the great pyramids, and the misuse ofarchaeology and the past for political purposes.

  • Spring 2021 Comm & Public Health (HLED-3020-41)

    Public health aim to create the conditions where people can be healthy. This course introduces goals and applications of community and public health work in the US, illustrated with case studies from the most urgent health issues facing our nation. Prerequisites: HLED 1006, completion of a COM2 course, and minimum 2.75 GPA

  • Spring 2021 Thermodynamics (ES-2310-02)

    Macroscopic systems involving energy and its various forms. Fundamental concepts including energy, mass and entropy balances. Pure substances and availability. Reversible and irreversible processes. Prerequisites: ES 2120 and MATH 2210.

  • Spring 2021 Ethnography & Narrative Inquir (EDRE-5655-40)

    In-depth exploration of narrative inquiry (including autoethnography) and educational ethnography. Issues of ethics, politics, diversity, and the researcher’s role will be integral to the course. Students will conduct and report on a mini study. Prerequisite: EDRE 5530 and EDRE 5640.

  • Spring 2021 Prev Care Athl Inj (KIN-3050-01)

    Encompasses theory and practical work in the field of athletic training. Strongly emphasizes prevention and care of athletic injuries, including wrapping and taping techniques. Prerequisites: junior status; LIFE 1000 or 1010; minimum 2.5 GPA. Intensive weekends on February 4 and March 12.

  • Spring 2021 Problem Solving in Org Setting (AGRI-4350-40)

    Students apply organizational leadership perspectives and methods to the resolution of a variety of simulations and real world problems. The course will emphasize leadership development as a tool for individual, organizational and community problem solving. Prerequisites: Junior or Senior standing and COM 2.
