Spring 2021 Internship in EC/ECSE (EDEC-4580-01)
A. The internship experience allows the early childhood/early childhood special education program candidate to demonstrate the knowledge and skill gained from coursework offered throughout the ECIECSE programs. Candidates enroll in the internship after completion of all required courses in programs. Permission of instructor is required. Dual listed with 5580. Prerequisites: Permission of instructor. The internship is to be taken after completion of all required courses for the EC/ECSE license.

Spring 2021 Intro Hisp Ling (SPAN-3300-01)
Linguistics is the scientific study of one of the most interesting human behaviors: language. It seeks to understand common principles behind all languages and asks questions regarding why human languages are the way they are. This course is an introduction to the main concepts and methods of analysis of linguistics, within the context of Spanish. The course introduces concepts and techniques of the analysis of sentence structure (syntax), sounds (phonology/phonetics), word formation (morphology), and meaning (semantics). It also looks at language as a social practice (sociolinguistics), at the vast variation that exists in dialects throughout the Spanish-speaking world (dialectology), and how to use language in context (pragmatics). Lastly, the course considers some key concepts in bilingualism, language contact, and second language acquisition. Students will practice data collection methods and linguistic analysis through an individual research project.

Spring 2021 Laboratory Management (MLSK-4860-40)
This s course introduces students to laboratory management systems, testing, reimbursement, accrediting/regulatory issues, finances, information systems, QA/QC improvement and supervisory roles in the clinical laboratory. Emphasis is on management and communication skills needed to work successfully as entry-level professionals in a health care setting. This course fulfills USP COM3 requirements. Proposed Prerequisites: Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) certification or completion of an AS degree in medical laboratory technician from an articulate withi the last 5 years.

Spring 2021 Veterans: Campus-to-Career (UWYO-3600-01)
Provides veterans with skills for successful transition from campus to the global workforce. Reviews tools for career success, resources available to veterans, information on veteran related challenges, and career planning resources. Students will develop skills in written, oral, and digital communication. Students will explore web based job search platforms and attend job fairs. Course intended for U.S. military veterans or an active duty military member. Prerequisite: COM2.

Spring 2021 Meat Processing (FDSC-3063-01)
Principles of applicable meat protein chemistry, heat transfer and other processing parameters applicable to production of sausage, cured meat, and other processed products. A variety of processed meat products will be manufactured in lab. Prerequisite: FDSC 3060 or concurrent registration.

Spring 2021 Immigration Law (LAW-6715-01)
Practical approach to topics such as the standards for admission of immigrants; nonimmigrant visas for students, workers and tourists: regulation and exclusion of undocumented aliens; legal procedures for admission, exclusion and deportation; refugee law; and citizenship law. Additionally, legislative history and policy behind applicable legislation and case law is discussed. Prerequisites: Complete first year of law school.

Spring 2021 Coll Comp/Rhet (ENGL-1010-15)
A composition course emphasizing expository writing, analytical reading, and academic and civic argumentation in a range of print, oral, and digital genres. A grade of C or better is required to meet the COM1 requirement. Students may not have credit in both ENGL 1010 and UWYO 1000, 1110 or 1210.
