Summer 2021 RhetComp: Hist Theory Practice (ENGL-5010-80)
ENGL 5010 prepares graduate students to teach college composition and rhetoric at UW and beyond, with attention to the intellectual traditions that inform our writing program's pedagogy. It examines the theories that support informed writing instruction and offers classroom strategies that may be applied to any course in English studies. Prerequisite: graduate status or 12 hours of 4000-level work or consent of instructor.

Summer 2021 Calculus III (MATH-2210-80)
Applies calculus to situations described by more than one variable. Includes vectors, multivariable equations and functions, parameterization of curves and surfaces, partial derivatives, directional derivatives, the gradient, optimization methods, integration over curves and surfaces using Cartesian, polar, cylindrical, and spherical coordinates, vector fields, and Green's, Stokes's, and the Divergence Theorems. Prerequisite: grade of C or better in MATH 2205 or Advanced Placement credit in MATH 2205.
