  • Spring 2020 - Econ Law & Govt (ECON-1200-01)

    This course investigates alternative views of the appropriate role of markets, legal institutions, and government in society. Different political philosophies will be discussed, as well as the historical and cultural context of the U.S.\ and Wyoming constitutions. Basic tools of economics will be introduced, to help students understand how consumers, firms, courts, and the government interact at both the (micro) level of individual markets and the (macro) level of the country as a whole. The emphasis throughout will be on applying tools and concepts learned to current issues.

  • Spring 2020 - Inter Macroecon (ECON-3010-01)

    A presentation and study of national income aggregates and accounting; equilibrium analysis of output, employment and the price level; general equilibrium analysis; and an introduction to economic dynamics.     Relative to a beginning course, this is a more advanced course on the theory of demand, production, cost and supply; and the theory of the firm, including market price under monopoly, monopolistic competition and oligopoly.
