Enhances professional writing skills applicable to a variety of professions. Includes audience analysis and adaptation, information design and use of visuals, and a range of formats and genres. Emphasizes clarity and precision of language. May feature primary research and problem-based or service-learning projects. Prerequisites: WA and WB or COM1 and COM2; junior or senior standing.

Spring 2021 Program Plan, Design, Delivery (ORTM-2050-01)
Design, delivery, and marketing of programs to diverse and inclusive audiences. Students will utilize tools, analytics, and techniques in both the direct supply and facilitation of a planned experience. Students will design and implement a program to a non-peer group. Prerequisite: ORTM 1000.

Spring 2021 Ops, Mgt, and Env Stewardship (ORTM-3050-01)
Operations and management are critical aspects of the successful delivery of quality recreation and tourism experiences. Students will evaluate environmental stewardship challenges and potential solutions with the integration of operation and management. Students will develop and understanding of functions that are critical to operational leadership, such as revenue management (budgeting, cost controls, profit centers), and human capital management. Prerequisites: ORTM 1000 and junior standing.

Spring 2021 Sem Neuroscience (NEUR-5715-01)
A continuing seminar. All students in the graduate neuroscience program are expected to register for this seminar each semester. The interdisciplinary approach to the nervous system is used employing work from physiology, neuroanatomy and neurochemistry, psychology, pharmacology and biochemistry. Cross listed with ZOO 5715. Prerequisites: admission to the graduate neuroscience program or graduate standing.

Spring 2021 Medieval Europe in Film (HIST-2105-40)
Historical depictions in films help to shape people's view of the past. Uses commercial films to study major themes in the development of western European civilization between 500 and 1500. Students view, discuss and write about films, learning to evaluate films historically and to view films critically, developing media literacy.

Spring 2021 Creative Autobiography Writing (CW-2070-40)
This course will focus on clarifying your writing and sharpening your editorial skills. You will be encouraged to document personal experience, and to expand the scope and parameters of first-person writing. We also will examine autobiographical performances by contemporary artists, filmmakers, and poets, and I will ask you to respond to these works. Assignments will include formal creative papers and short response papers, and informal feedback and discussions. Much of our course time (all conducted onlne) will be devoted to small-group writing workshops of your rough drafts, and full-class discussions of your final drafts. Prerequisite: COM 1.

Spring 2021 Principles of Biochemistry (MOLB-3610-40)
One-semester biochemistry course for life-, health- and physical-science students. Introduces a full range of biochemical concepts including discussion of major macromolecules, metabolism, and molecular biology. Credit can be earned for MOLB 3610 and MOLB 4600 and MOLB 4610. Prerequisites:LIFE 1010 and a minimum grade of C- in CHEM 2300 or CHEM 2420. (Normally offered fall and summer semesters)
