Queer Theory Knowledge Post-Survey

I have developed this pre- / post-test and knowledge survey to enable my assessment of both your knowledge and confidence. In administering this test/survey I have two primary goals. The first is to provide you, as students, with a list of representative concepts that will be discussed throughout the semester. I hope that this will enable you to monitor your progress through the course. I also hope that it will communicate some of my expectations / learning outcomes to you. Secondly, and most importantly, is that I will look to the survey to help me enhance organization and coverage of concepts and thus better facilitate your learning.

For each item on the survey, please first, carefully read and consider the question. You may answer the question if you like but you do not need to answer. Please do not spend time researching the answers, I hope that you will learn the answers through the class. Secondly, with your present knowledge, rate (on a three-point scale) your confidence in what the question asks you to do/know. To assess your confidence, please mark your confidence as 0, 1 or 2 in accord with the following instructions:

• Mark a 2 if you feel confident that you can do this extremely well immediately;
• Mark a 1 if you feel that you now have sufficient knowledge to provide a response that would be acceptable;
• Mark a 0 if you are not confident that you could deliver the quality of response that you feel should be minimally acceptable.
